Rainy Day Engagement Session | Houston Area Wedding Photography | Lisa & Joey

While I do offer free in person consultations, sometimes the first time I meet the special couple {{who so carefully chose me to document their wedding day}} on the day of their engagement portraits. This was the case with Lisa & Joey, and I must say that I was immediately drawn to their quirky personalities. Their original session has been rescheduled due to rain and much to our surprise, the rain would show itself on their second attempt as well. After a quick regrouping we decided to stick it out and try to get some gorgeous rainy day shots. Lisa explained that their first date was very rainy, and it might have just been "meant to be that way". After seeing the results I couldn't agree more. Their images are intimate and lovely and warm despite the cool crisp air and sprinkles of rain that were upon us. Love conquers all.  Each of my wedding day packages does include a full engagement session, so if you are newly engaged I would love to chat with you more about what I offer and set up your very own couples portrait session showcasing the everlasting love you have for one another. Here are my favorite images from Lisa and Joey's engagement session located in The Woodlands, TX this past fall. I am anticipating a lot of love and laughter at their wedding later this year.

Mommy and Me | The Woodlands, TX | Family Photography

As a mother of three, one of my absolute favorite types of sessions to book are the oh so special Mommy and Me portraits! These are the images that will document the everlasting love you have for your children, and the love they have for you in return. When photographing these session I aim to capture the connection and bond you have.  I love when you play and interact and talk about what you love most about each other. The little faces and expressions you get are beyond adorable and I hope they are what will tug at your heart strings when looking back on these heirloom images. When Nikki and I had our initial styling consultation she said she wanted a bohemian feel that incorporated some femininity. She choose a long crimson dress with delicate straps, and a flowing cream top with floral print leggings for her little one. The both looked stunning! All of my sessions come with digital files for easy sharing online, and most include a print credit as well. I urge you to print the images you wish to pass down. Discs and USB drives can often fail, but the paper images that I rummage through at my grandmother's house have never failed us. A yearly family album is a great way to archive your growing love for one another.
